HP Pavillion dv6 Limited Artist Edition 4GB RAM - NOT working/for spares !

I am selling this laptop for spares as it is not working. It used to work but now it no longer powers up. The power light only lits up for 2-3 seconds than it goes dead. Before this the laptop worked fine until the infamous black screen problem started. I then went on YouTube and tried to re-solder the chip but apparently it did not work and since then the laptop does not want to start up. Also, the laptop has no hard drive as I removed it because it contains too much important and sensitive information and I am using it.
